Colored Sports Contact Lenses

Are you a contact lens wearer? Are you involved with outdoor activities? Then you should look into colored sports contact lenses. There are many places on the web that you can find distributors of colored sports contact lenses and they are relatively inexpensive and last a long time. The colored sports contact lenses are being promoted by major athletic companies to help you see outdoors while playing sports in the sun, instead of wearing sunglasses, which can interfere with your game by getting in the way of your field of vision or causing sweat to pile up on your face which can blur your vision if it would get into your eyes.

Nike now offers colored sports contact lenses, with the name brand MaxSight that have been produced through Bausch & Lomb. These are soft colored contact lenses that are available in two shades; amber tint for sports that involve the use of a ball such as soccer, baseball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, rugby, softball, and tennis there is also a grey-green tint that is excellent for football, rugby, golf and running sports. These lenses are available in both prescription and non-prescription. You can find these colored lenses many places on the internet and they cost around $45 but the retail price is $77.95. The lenses come in packs of six and you will need to have a Doctor of Optometry fit the lenses to your eyes, even if you do not need to wear prescription lenses.

What is so special about colored sports contact lenses? Well for starters they block out 95% of the harmful UV rays from the sun but are not the answer for full-time protection from sunlight and they cover your entire lens. These lenses will help your game by allowing you to see better without having to worry about the frame of glasses getting in your field of vision or making your face sweaty. These colored sports contact lenses are also to be worn daily and replaced monthly; one box contains a three month supply. Some athletes choose to only wear the colored sports contact lenses when they are playing sports and remove them when they are at home or work.

A few websites that offer the Nike MaxSight colored sports contact lenses are:

AC Lens

VisionDirect.com

So if you are an avid outdoor sports fan or play a lot of sports you may want to look into MaxSight from Nike, in either amber or grey-blue, to help improve your vision in the sunlight without having to wear annoying sunglasses that get in the way of your outdoor sports performance.
